Our friend, Joe Brink, passed to the next great adventure on Aug. 4, 2009 at the age 59 following a struggle with cancer.

Do we choose our friends or are they chosen for us?

Whether we are hiding from tyrants in a cave in Sherwood Forrest, or standing shoulder to shoulder in a square against Napoleon, or sharing a trench in "The Great War", or smiling on a boat in the Gulf of Mexico ... maybe our friends have been chosen for us - a long time ago by circumstance, fate or someone a whole lot smarter than ME. "Stand Tall Lads".
